Big Bugs on Two Wheels

We all know riding a bicycle makes you look and feel cooler. Well, big earphones tend to do the same. What about wearing both at the same time? The look just becomes unbeatable. It's effortless coolness that reflects a chill, good time. The bicycle and the big bugs are two items that guarantee a good time. Here's a small collection of moments of people enjoying urban fabric with their bicycle and big headphones on.

Cycle Chic Polaroids

Motion in the urban landscape.

In an urban world where people travel on two wheels without metal shields blocking out oxygen or interaction, the urban landscape is much more raw. We are all exposed to one another. Our emotions, scents and priorities can be received from a mile away. Who we are is shared with all who spontaneously or intentionally moves next to us in the public space. Cycle Chic is about capturing this rawness, the simplicity of what people do on the streets, accompanied by their bicycles of course. We thought an accurate way to project the uniqueness of danish society was through Polaroid pictures, a raw medium that cannot be edited, duplicated or forgotten. Here's a set of four 600 film polaroid photos shot in a chilly, autumn afternoon with a 1988 Cool Cam.

Kid in the back, no problem!

Three wheels and three humans. That's one neat, cosmic cargo bicycle!

Number 200.
She's holding her new born close and pushing the oldest on the cargo bike, beautiful.

"You'll See Her On a Bicycle and She'll Be Wearing a Scarf..."

Form and function, is that all there is to wearing a scarf?  Or can scarves stand for more?
The hairy scarf, a stand out peace in your wardrobe. Warm and refreshing!

But we know that sometimes it is more important to be warm, that's it.

This lady obviously feels super confident. We believe it is the scarf effect.

A scarf can be form of hiding, of isolating.

You can match it with the season.

But in the end, it is about keeping you cozy.

...and looking good while doing so.

There is no excuse. Even though it is starting to get cold, cycling in style is always a good idea. Cycle Chic shows us the chance of dressing up for your destination without the bicycle holding you back.  See you in the streets and possibly on the blog!

Happy Cycling!

Cargo Bike Ladies

Cargo bikes are worthy of special attention. Any bicycle can/ will quickly and easily become part of your lifestyle if you allow it, but cargo bikes are extra supportive. Cargo bicycles encourage you to share your moments through the urban landscape together with your favorite goods. The cargo bicycle tells you never to travel alone.

Two girls rolling that cargo bike through the park like real bosses.

Look out for the cargo bike carrying friends, stickers... and just having fun!

And the one with two precious Italian, little girls with "perfectly suited for autumn" mom.

Cargo bicycle lady duo, YES to that.

The two wheeler one. As you can see, Bullitt's got your back for looking smart, fancy and flawless while resting on the curb awaiting for what lies ahead. No excuses!

And one from early October in Copenhagen... The sun was shining and this beautifully colored cargo bike amazed us with the truly happy kido inside! We all know that smile is your best accessory for looking good.

Leather, tights and acceleration concentration.

Full basket, booties and denim.

Red ties, black socks and brief case.

Nice beard, plaid and morning tunes.

Nice beard, colorful shoes and lenses.

Navy v-neck, burgundy pants and green bag on cobblestones.

In Paris, plenty of the locals choose the bike share system, Vélib'. While many times these bike share systems are seen as "touristy" and not- chic, Parisians have a way of owning the urban look in these public bikes.

Sunday Priorities in Copenhagen

This modern man prioritizes diapers and coffee, nice.

She prioritizes furniture journeys and friendliness.

Quick grocery stops

Happy cruising and music are important priorities too.

Sundays like this in Copenhagen are about priorities on the bicycle. It's not easy waking up after a long week to cold, autumn mornings in Scandinavia, but being able to ride your bicycle in style to all your Sunday necessities is an advantage.  The following are bits you can only witness in this amazing Nordic city.

Addressing Urban Cycling the Right Way

This is how we should all address urban cycling any day: head up, heels on and eyes closed. Okay, maybe you shouldn't close your eyes... at least not for long. But keep it cool, keep it relax.  This woman is a beautiful example of casual grace being spread on an autumn afternoon commute.  Riding her bicycle along the city streets, she includes wander, balance and charm.

Parisian Women Owning the Streets

Cruising through Paris with Velolib' bicycle is a common thing, but this lady stands out with her casual yet stylish look.

What can describe femininity more then heels, stand out accessories and confidence.

Beige and blue.... Keeping it simple and playing with tones... Can you spot the little heels?

Freshen it up with a colourful piece. This is Parisian style. What else do you need?

And if you can... match your bike with your bag.

This woman just represents them all!!! Chic yet simple. The vintage bike and red lips, all black and red nails! She's got it!

We were in Paris for 5 days and we need to admit that CycleChic loves Paris! In Paris you can spot all kind of urban cyclists - the sporty ones, the chic ones, the "I don't care" ones...
