Casual Cool Cyclists

There's no real "Cycle Chic" crowd in Copenhagen. We only have lot's of people using cycles to get on with their lives. Casual or chic or a little of everything. Above: One day I'll get around to those buttons! Below: Comfortable simplicity for the commute.

Damn clothes are just everywhere when all you need is your phone!



For some people even calibrating their clothes to the winter cold is overrated.

Leather, Leather Everywhere

Leather is a chic evergreen. In Copenhagen it goes way beyond jackets to cover skirts, pants and all kinds of accessories. Above: Amazingly elegant combo with tanned Western boots and poncho layered leather jacket. Below: Fine plissé leather skirt.




Looking great with a confident smile, a cool motor cycle jacket and a drop of gold.



Danes love black so black leather dominates. But here a red 3/4 coat for the cold season.

Copenhagen Minimalisic Chic

Scandinavian minimalism finds its apex in Copenhagen's simplicity and functionality. Above: Classic Copenhagen all-black all-clean cut except for the swirling scarf and ring cuffed mittens. Below: Simple lines with the black flow broken by a single dark shade.




Elegant shades of gray with unbroken front making the rider and the bike align perfectly.



Beautiful lines only marked by a gold-studded belt to remind us that she's the Princess of Chic!



Simple, casual, smart. How Copenhagen boys prefer it. And typically, they prefer to struggle with stray and unruly bags dangling aside them than get a proper holder.

Amazing Animated Patterns

Zig-Zag, Criss-Cross, Up/Down - people love patterns such as M.C. Escher's skillfully creative repetitions prove. Above: Escalating positive/negative pattern - and snowflake mittens to match! Below: Triple and double line cross-checkers.




Mix of hard and soft textures: Careful woven rectangular sweater pattern and fish-bone scarf with symmetric heavy metallic blots, studs and screws. And - of course - studded mittens to go.

As always Copenhagen boys are more conservative but a woolen sweater in subdued colors is classic enough to pass.
