Rude Awakenings
For many Copenhageners Monday morning proved a rude awakening after an extraordinary long X-mas and New Year's holiday. But a steady flow of bicycles eventually delivered their riders looking as great as ever even with minimal effort.
A quiet encounter between dark forest colors.
Dreaming of future adventures.
Trying to remember which way to go.

Wind Chill Factor -10°
A fierce cold wind carried a welcome drop of sunshine to Copenhagen this weekend. Some cyclists seemed to be caught off guard by the excessive chill factor. Above: Suffering in style (!) Below: Gotta zip that zipper to avoid the cold.
Many couples out for a lazy Sunday ride before work picks up tomorrow.
Committed to color!
Enjoying the last minutes of the dying sun before heading home.
Happy Cycling!

Happy X-Mas!
My X-mas present to all of you is a pot-pourri of some of my popular pictures in 2012. Hope you enjoy the ride as much as we do! Above from January "Simply Beautiful". And below February "Balancing Bicycle Ballerinas".
March "Orchestral Manoeuvres".
April "Gone With the Wind".
In May "Choo Choo Cycling" drew lots of attention.
June "A Dream Within a Dream" - a personal favourite.
July had a fashion Tour-de-force with "Copenhagen Elegance - The Ladies".
August "Sunset Boulevard".
September - the "Last Day of Summer".
October - and Autumn was all over us in "Its Raining! - Its Pouring!"
November "The All Blacks".
December "Blizzard" with the always-popular Copenhagen cyclists in snow.
Happy Cycling!

The Day Before X-Mas
Cloudy. Colorless. Cold. But Copenhageners keep cutting through the soft mist to lighten up the street scene. No reason for the pratical to stay in opposition to the chic. Above cosy warm with black leather gloves and below carefully flung magnificant scarf!
Well tucked in to bring the last X-mas presents home:
Looking great with sweater-on-sweater and a touch of scrict Scandinavian minimalist style:
Up and away! Casual simplicity even down to gloveless riding:
Happy Cycling!

Business Bike Attire
Many business people enjoy riding their bikes in Copenhagen.
At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the ratio between people taking cars and bikes is around 50/50.
The Ministry also has a pool of official city bikes for meetings at Parliament etc.
And like most Danish workspaces we have showers for those who have a long trek in the morning.
Happy Cycling!
