One Real Piece of Copenhagen Hunk - on wheels

Well, hello there ;) Just had to stop and talk to this guy, wanting to portray him so bad on this blog!

Mads Kornerup is the name of this cool, sweet – and creative man. He owns a jewelry company called Shamballa Jewels located in Ny Østergade 7.

His bag is a black python from Danish designer Birgitte Raben Olrik and Raben Saloner.

And his coffee is from The Coffee Factory at Gothersgade 21. Cosy, cool and highly recommendable!

This bracelet is a 18k rose gold tennis bracelet – love it.

The watch is a Linde Werdelin rose gold speedospeed.

And hello there… his bike is a Jaguar one.

 « I'm from Copenhagen and I cycle every day. I don't own a car. This bicycle is my dad's bike. It's a Raleigh (from their Danish collection). He always talks about this brand. »

« I own a bike and not a car because it's easier to get around. Wherever you want to go to,  you can pretty much get there in 20 or 25 minutes. It's more convenient and you get some exercise. It's almost a meditative moment.»

« What do you like the most about cycling? »
« Compare to a car, I fell that I'm much more aware of my surroundings. I notice more details around me and I appreciate more the city.»

What To Drink After #VikingBiking

If you follow either Cycle Chic or Copenhagenize you may have seen the #vikingbiking hashtag on Twitter or Instagram. We were amused to discover that a variation of the hashtag exists as a product. Biking Viking coffee, available online at Ingebretsens.

Uh oh... we just discovered they have chocolate, too.

"I cycle everyday. So, I really need my bike and I love this one, especially the color."

"What do you like when you bike in winter?"

"I like to get some fresh air and to exercice."

"What would be your tips to cycle in winter? Do you wear specific clothes?"

"You should not dress to warmly, since you produce heat while you’re cycling. You really don’t need skiing clothes. You just need to wear a windproof outfit and of course a warm pair of gloves."

"What is your most unforgettable memory related to your bike?"

"The day before I gave birth to my son, the « water breaking » happened when I was on my bike on my way to the hospital".

Even if it seems incredible for a lot of other countries, here in Danemark, women cycle when they are pregnant, and they even bike with contractions to the hospital. Read here.
