Where to bring your bike for a Copenhagen drink
Copenhageners Karen & Claus on a sunny day. The hat of Claus is bought “right next to Illum”. Where?! I guess there are a minimum of 50 stores next to Illum, so good luck if you want exactly the cool hat aka Claus The good news is you can just step into the department store Illum and enjoy a wide selection of nice hats – and don’t you just love it when men wear a hat?
Where to go this weekend? Grab your bike and head for classic Cafe Victor in Ny Østergade:
… and yep, why not spice up your weekend and wear that hat, when you chill out with a drink at Cafe Victor.
Happy Friday!

Leggings & Jeggings
Not into the code of the Fashion Police I can only state the incontrovertible; Leggings and Jeggings are galore here in Copenhagen. Comfortable, practical and warmer than stockings they go really well with biking. Above; stylish flower patterned jeggings. Below; half&half borderline Bordeaux.
Elegant snakeskin leggings topped off with a matching leather jacket – way off limits according to some. But what’s not to like?
Wow-outfit; see-me silver coded leggings with point blank stilettoes!
Finally, a Copenhagen favorite; traditional leggings with a protective wind shell for those frosty & windy mornings.
Happy Cycling!

Bike guide: What to do in Copenhagen this weekend
… it’s weekend, the sun is shining - well, they say it will on Saturday - you want to enjoy Copenhagen, so what do you do?
Hey Friend, do what I did last Sunday; grab your bike and head for Copenhagen Vesterport Station!
It’s possible to carry my bike up the stairs, in a special side slide. But I’m lazy, so I take the elevator… Notice the candy colored Palads Theatre in the background – love it!
The reason why I choose to step off at Vesterport is I’d like to bicycle through The Latin Quarter. Here’s always exciting people & places to see – here I am in Studiestræde.
Already in Nyhavn! Saying hi to Mr. Muffin.
Join me further on to The Little Mermaid & some ugly (NOT) ducklings aka H.C. Andersen - click here to see more pictures on my blog CPH BLONDE (O;
You take care, happy bicycling out there!

Mid-June: shorts and sun
Hi Cycle Chic readers,
I'm the blogger of Byliv in Copenhague and I'm glad to contribute to Copenhagen Cycle Chic. I'm French and
after moving from Paris, I enjoy biking everyday in Copenhagen.
Cyclists do enhance the city !
I'll try to capture every week what is
trendy to wear when you are cycling in Copenhagen.
Find
out the result through pictures every Wednesday and share your
comments !
Second week of June: shorts - from mini-shorts for the girls to Bermuda shorts for the boys - are the outfit to wear for biking to work or school. Yes, this week is sunny and hot, and Copenhagen is a casual chic city.

Street Photography by a Five Year Old
Everybody sees their city differently. What does the city look like through the eyes of a five year-old girl named Lulu-Sophia? She's my kid. She grows up in a home filled with cameras. So I decided to find out.
The Canon 7D is always on the window sill at our place and, when we're riding around on the Bullitt cargo bike, I let Lulu-Sophia carry the 7D in the box.
I never say what she should take photos of. I just say "take photos if you want". Totally up to her. I don't notice what she does but when I load the photos onto the computer, I get to see what she sees. It's wonderful.
I've made a little set of her street photography work on Flickr but here are some of her Cycle Chic shots from the urban landscape. Both from the flat and from the Bullitt.
And of course, the set wouldn't be complete without a shot of your big brother, Felix.
