The Snow Queen
By now most Danes really wish to see the last of snow this year. But once again the Snow Queen rolled out her white blanket. Beautiful and frighting as ever!
Snow white gloves to match the icy rain.
Fierce and forceful. Ready to burst out in flames?
Just do it!

Polish Bloggers Cycle Chic
This is quite brilliant. Quite amazing. Quite humbling.
It's a collage from the cool Polish fashion blog Szafa Sztywniary. While our Polish friends in Krakow, Warsaw, Lodz, Torun and Wroclaw have been waving the Cycle Chic banner high and proud, this collage features Polish bloggers - by and large fashion bloggers - who have all taken a photo involving the bicycle.
What a splendid collection of photos. Szafa Sztywniary got the others to contribute to the collage. Cycle Chic is steadily moving into the mainstream. Thanks to you all. I'm humbled.
And here's a funky Polish animation film featuring a cool cat on a cool bike:

Lux
The Nordic summer has unique qualities that are difficult to explain. After long, dark winters, the world opens up and the light embraces you. You are giddy. The light is the defining factor. Light illumination is measured in units called Lux.
On a moonless, overcast night you get about 0.0001 lux. The lighting in an average family living room is about 50 lux. The Nordic winter - overcast, snow, rain and with a sunset, in Copenhagen anyway, at around 15:30 in mid-December - is not generous in it's distribution of lux. Rarely does it rise above about 400 lux.
On a sunny, summer's day, on the other hand, your body and mind is splashed with upwards of 100,000 lux. What a shock in the first sunny days of spring. It triggers that feeling of a rush and it increases your energy levels and even your sexual desire. It's quite a difference between winter and summer. I love the Copenhagen summer, needless to say.

My Way (Is Not the High Way)
A small celebration of the bike lanes that help Copenhageners enjoy cycling in safety - and in style. The number of cyclists increased tremendously after the first dedicated bicycle networks were introduced in the 1970's.
Today, few cyclists give the bike lanes much thought as they are pervasive throughout the city.
However, the numbers of cyclists has stagnated. Politicians and city planners need to reconsider their options if they want continued growth.
Improved bicycle parking and wider bike lanes for rush hour traffic is high on the list for may cyclists.
Happy Cycling!
