Copenhagen Elegance - The Ladies
Every day the elegance and style of the Copenhagen Street scene amazes me.
Does grocery shopping after a day at work come any more elegant than this?
Straight and clean cut elegance - inspired.
Super polished look down to full control of every strand of hair.
Simple, relaxed afternoon ride with beautiful white dots and large sunglasses to match.

Cycle Chic ® Goes to Vancouver
So, I was in Vancouver last week. Did at talk at Simon Fraser University. Did a bunch of radio interviews, among them one for CBCs The Current. And then I attended the brilliant Cycle Chic Social party hosted by our friends at Vancouver Cycle Chic. That's VCC's David, above, with his girlfriend Victoria, as we head home one evening.
I also wandered/cycled around a city I know well and a city that I used to live in. Here are some of the things I saw.
One of the days was Canada Day so there was Canadiana all over the place. The gentleman, above left, is about as Canadian as you can get.
All in all, Cycle Chic is not a foreign concept to Vancouverites.

Rrrrriiiiip
We have an astute crowd of ripped and torn people cruising Copenhagen's urban landscape.
Right knee & thigh seems to be at special risk of running into a sharp knife or handy pair of scissors.
I'm never quite sure when it comes to stockings if the rips are intentional or not.
Some people just cannot get enough of the good stuff.
Ripping the bar tape for a perfect match?

Cycle Chic Bags - OMG! That's FUNIA!
Hopping to another side of the world, Tel Aviv is one of the new booming bicycle cultures with plenty of Cycle Chic citizens getting from one shop to the next via bicycle. Complementing this movement, our friend Liat has designed her own growing urban brand, Funia. Sunflower yellow and totally retromodern, it playfully grabbed our attention. Like a gust of wind carrying you along, this bag makes it look easy and slaps a wide smile on our comic-strip-loving faces at the same time.
Most common use: carrying bags full of pastries to the Cycle Chic headquarters.
For more from Funia, here's a link to her fashion and culture blog, in Hebrew.

Ten Cent Designer Cycle Chic
Everyone has a favourite blog and we're no exception. Cycle Chic managed an impromptu photo shoot with The Ten Cent Designer whilst on a trip to Calgary last week. After a cracking dinner and drinks at National Beer Hall, we shot some shots in the evening prairie light.
The Ten Cent Designer is prolific on Instagram and Twitter and her blog is chock full of interior design brilliance as well as delicious recipes - especially if you're a celiac.
But for now we're back in Calgary in the balmy, summer air.
And, of course, a copy of Cycle Chic - The Book fits well in her bag.

The Big Picture
Copenhagen provides the perfect backdrop for its busy cycling scene.
The million or so active cyclists in greater Copenhagen are engraved into the fabric of its infrastructure.
With cycling providing for mass commute as well as individual trips.
Most recreational areas allow for cycling except a few selected city centre parks. However, only recently cycling was allowed around the four main lakes that outline the city centre.
Even when the city is draped in white its cyclists provide colour and life.

Classic Leather
The Leather Jacket is both classic, elegant and stylish. Here a stylised variant of the flight jacket.
And below a motor cycle racing inspired design in a plucky green colour.
A darker green motor jacket gliding gloriously through the afternoon traffic.
Simple black leather cut with puffed military shoulders.
Another motor racing inspired design in off-white with matching cycle.
