Flying Colors
Lots of Copenhagen women grabbed the chance to roll out with in their summer dresses flying colors. Above, confident stride with classic dotted evening elegance. Below, one of this summer's favorite - bold colorful flowers.
Lovely light dress with large flowers in simple patterns and colors.
Ultra-light dark evening dress with matching necklace.
Super elegant with the ultimate summer party dress. (Enjoy!)

Portraits of Cyclists - Isabel: “In Belgium, when I cycle from one town to another, I just follow the canal”
"I'm from Ghent in Belgium. I'm in Copenhagen for a couple of days to visit the city.
I'm used to cycling in my own city but in Ghent we don't have these completely separated lanes. The tram in Ghent makes cycling in the city a bit more complicated, especially when it rains.
In Belgium, I cycle often from Ghent to my parents' town. It's 35 km away from Ghent but I just have to follow the canal. Sometimes, on this track, I run into my friends who are heading back to their hometown, too, and we cycle together."

Summer Sneak Peek
Even in Denmark Winter has to give way to Summer. With Spring lurking around the corner here's a sneak peek at the burst of Copenhagen Cycle Chic moments coming this Summer. Above; Did Sailor Striped pants ever look better? Below; Bringing out the Tiger in you (have to love that casual finger on the handle bar).
Casual Cool for a day at the office.

Keep Cool In White
Well this is an awesome summer so far. I never thought that I would be at risk of sunburn in Denmark of all places. Best way to keep cool in the summer sun? Wear all white. And slap on some suncream...
The classic white airy summer dress.
Dashing in all white. Keeping it grounded with some blue sneakers.
Is there anything more chic than a crisp white summer jacket?
Bring on the white t-shirt contest!

Pretty Pink Paisleys!
One of my favourite prints this summer season! Keep it "lady luncheon" by teaming with ballerina flats or tone down with a pair of grey converse.

Let's Get To Work
On my way to work I happened to cycle past the busy Queen Louise's Bridge and thought I had some time to snap other Copenhageners on their way to work. My boss thought otherwise.
Most Danes go abroad or retreat to their summerhouses during the first three weeks of July...but not this hard-working bunch!
This businesswoman shows us exactly how to rock up to work looking elegant and put-together...I, er, can totally say the same for myself.
Back in black? There are just some trends that never die out. This look tells us why.
Time for a cheeky fag...(cigarette, not gay man)
'Mum-on-the-move' look.
Been working at Copenhagenize for over a week now and if I may say so far, so very very good. But now I must get back to work! Oh wait, that's this.
Over and out!

Copenhagen Summertime
Some of you may have noticed that Mikael hasn't been the one posting the last few blog entries. Because the lucky dog is on holiday in Croatia. So, while he's gone, we're taking advantage of Copenhagen's own little seaside escape.
The beach is close, but not central to the city, so bicycles (and the metro) are the most popular way to get there.
Beachside bars with signs that read 'open when the sun is shining', vendors selling fresh green peas and ripe cherries, and gently rotating wind mills create a pretty warm landscape to complement the city's otherwise Nordic Cool attitude. Not bad Copenhagen, not bad at all.

Rio de Janeiro Bike Share
Just got home from some Cycle Chic related activities in Rio de Janeiro. The city has recently launched a bike share system and it's a massive success. 50,000 subscribers, which is brilliant in a city that is already lightyears ahead of most cities in the Americas regarding reestablishing the bicycle on the urban landscape.
No surprise that Rio came in at #18 on the Copenhagenize Index list of Bicycle Friendly Cities last year.
Many of these photos were taken on a Sunday, when the bike lanes along the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches get a whole lot wider what with the three lanes of traffic that are closed to cars and opened to bicycles, skateboarders, rollerbladers and people just walking casually along.
The system was so busy that there was a queue at many stations as people waited for bikes to be rented so that other bikes could be parked.
There are, however, many people using the bike share bikes during the week for short trips around the city.
