Red Light Moments
This little film has been frightfully popular on Flickr - seen almost 30,000 times.
To my surprise, I found another version from the same spot in my archives today:
Red light moments in the City of Cyclists.

They Can't Be Stopped
You cannot stop them. The weather is hot and Copenhageners head for the beach or the harbour at every opportunity. Every day of the week.
All along the harbour Copenhageners hang out, swim, sun themselves, drink beer, flirt and enjoy the heat. Ten years ago, the harbour was filled with commercial shipping and not at all fit for swimming. Now it is a refreshing focal point in the urban landscape of the city.
Me, I'm off to summer house in Sweden for a day or so. Marie is travelling around Europe researching bicycle culture. She was just in Amsterdam where she hooked up with our kindrid spirit Marc, from Amsterdamize.com. He blogged about her visit and their bike ride here and, being a Dane, she promptly drank him under the table.

Cycle Deliciousness for the Weekend
There were showers on and off yesterday but it was lovely and warm. Here's a Copenhagen supermum heading home in the afternoon. Perhaps she's picking up the little one[s] today, perhaps it's the dad.
Here's a little teaser for a longer version I'm working on.
Sometimes you ride with your umbrella, sometimes you walk. Check the Biking With Umbrellas tag for more photos.
Would she have chose those orange earrings if she rode a green bike? Unlikely. Bikes are mere transport, but they are a part of your fashion style and your personality in Copenhagen.
Ride and smoke in the casualness of Copenhagenishness.
We posted about Topshop's new bicycle advert the other day. A reader let us know about The Gap's version from a couple of years ago.

Copenhagen Rainy Day
The rain fell all day but the bikes rolled on. This stretch of bike lane is 'medium-sized' - it gets about 10,000 bikes a day - and is located about 4 km from the heart of the city.
Here's a previous post about Biking With Umbrellas.
Two of my biking with umbrellas photographs have been immortalised for all time as postcards available at our online boutique:

Relaxing Sunday Concerto Post
A random day of the week in Copenhagen. Copenhageners heading home in the afternoon along the busiest bike lane in the nation - Nørrebrogade [North Bridge Street]. Over 30,000 bikes use this stretch each day.
Have a relaxing Sunday wherever you are.
Hej hej!

Welcome to Copenhagen
Another Great Moment in Cycling. It's that moment we love so much here on Cycle Chic. Green light. Muscles tense. Bicycle propelled forward. Momentum achieved. Continue on.
And look frightfully fashionable while doing so. Ah, Copenhagen.
Any ideas for what this magical moment could be called? The initial thrust off the light? We've discussed it here at the blog, but couldn't come up with a fine, good name for it.
Anyway, here's today's photographic offerings from the bike lanes of Copenhagen:
Musical ride. Copenhagen cellos prefer being transported by bike. We've asked them. 9 out of 10 confirmed it.
Red Bag, Red Coat. Both heading home on the bike lanes.
Yet another Copenhagen supermum. Superstylish. Supercool. Super mum.
And with Flickr's new video function, we offer you this. The Art of Waiting For The Light To Change in Copenhagen:
