It is a Sunday
Sundays are the best days to spot the CycleChic people on their day off. Connecting with their hobbies, going from A to B. Grab your skateboard, photo gear or fishing rod and roll into the life. That's how easy it is!
Happy Cycling!

Vitória Cycle Chic - Sunday Streets
Like most modern cities, Vitoria closes off streets on Sundays so that the citizens can ride bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, or whatever they like. It's called Ciclovia in some places. It's brilliant. Here's a bit of what I saw in Vitoria last month.
Riding with a surfboard is nothing special in Brazil, but I love that he is towing the boy along with the rope.
Skateboards and bicycles are also standard fare in Brazil, but this is just spectacular.
Family time.
Kids time.
Creative contraption time.
Skate time.
Skate/bike/family time.
Pet time.
Bikini/bike time. It's Brazil, after all.

Eva Part Deux
A few more photographs of Eva's visit to Copenhagen. Eva from Cycle Chic Sundays and Eva-lu.com.
After she dropped her bike off at Baisikeli bike rental, her chariot carried her to the train station.

Melbourne Cycle Chic - and a demonstration
I've now returned home to Copenhagen after giving a keynote speech at the brilliant State of Design festival in Melbourne. It was fantastic to meet so many wonderful people but especially fantastic to meet some Cycle Chicistas who made the trip to Melbourne for the talk. At left is Jenny - AKA Unity Finesmith - from Auckland Cycle Chic and, at right in the lovely green gloves, is Saskia from A Spirit of Place and Cycle Chic Sundays - Sydney.
Here's another friend, Dr Paul Martin, with his wife on the left and Jenny on the right. In addition to the State of Design keynote, there was a brilliantly, well-dressed bicycle-related protest on the Saturday. We all went for a bike ride on the new bike share bikes in Melbourne. Which sounds nice until you consider the fact that Melbourne has bike helmet laws. We were part of a protest/demonstration and you can read much more about it over at Copenhagenize.com
Here are some other chic cyclists enjoying the ride and the protest.
And a spot of Canine Demonstration Cycle Chic. His name is Bon Bon.
All in all it was quite possibly the chic'est demonstration I've ever been involved in.

Cycle Chic Sunday
It's Sunday, late-morning in Copenhagen. It's cloudy and windy outside my windows. There's a thought, however, that appeals. In a few hours, the sun will rise over California. Far away across an ocean and a continent.
Later today, Eva - from Cycle Chic Sundays in Long Beach- will probably be walking out of her house to wherever her bicycle is parked. She'll pedal off to meet some friends. She'll hook up with them and they'll embark on something so simple and elegant.
A Cycle Chic bikeride.
She'll round up her bike gang and enjoy the freedom of cycling calmly, stylishly and aesthetically around her town.
Looking out my windows again, with raindrops starting to fall, I just realised where I'd rather be.
