Copenhagen Fashion Week - on the Street

Chic'sters in motion heading to the next show.  Most on bicycles.  The easiest way to get from event to event.

Literally, fashion week on the street, as the streets of the Grønnegade neighbourhood in central Copenhagen were closed.  Roads covered with red carpet.  Cars replaced with models.  

This wonderworld had to be created somehow.  We found out it was partly via bike, like the Velorbis Long John cargo bike above helping to organise and advertise the show.

Dublin Cycle Chic

Copenhagenize was recently in Dublin on business.  Between meetings there was plenty of time for seeing the streets and people of Dublin.

Pretty certain this girl is riding the same bicycle as the gentleman in the first image.  Coincidence? Funkalicious new leopard print bike share bikes?

Looks like baskets beat out front racks in Dublin.

Soulland, Hats and Fashion Week

The Danish design company, Soulland, do brilliant mens' wear. We love them. They have their fingers in a bunch of other delicious pies, too. They have designed a fashion stamp for Post Denmark which will be launched next week in connection with Copenhagen Fashion Week. In order to let people know about it, they also have a competition, together with Post Denmark, on the go.

You can win tickets to their fashion show next week if you spot a postal carrier wearing a Soulland hat. There are 10 postmen/women wearing the special edition red hats. If you're in Copenhagen and spot one, you can take a photo of it and send it to post@copenhagenfashionfestival.com to enter into the draw for tickets to their show as well as one of the hats. Copenhagen Fashion Week 01

Copenhagen Fashion Week is in full swing here in the city. Fabglamourous events and spectastic amounts of cheek kissing in every direction. The Danish Fashion Institute is the kraftverk behind this annual event.

I passed an event on my way home and while the paparazzi were busy photographing at the main entrance, I hung out and had a look around near the bike racks. I couldn't resist taking a shot of this girl in those fabulous heels who rolled up to park her bicycle.

Addendum: Just noticed the strange mix of adverts on the two vehicles in the background. One for JustEat - an online booking service for a variety of fast food restaurants and Fitness World - a fitness centre chain.


She was lucky to find a spare patch of pavement, as this photo attests.

I did ride past the entrance and took a photo of this photographer's darling. Anyone know who it is?
