The Pleasing Errors of Simplicty
So you pick up the camera and shoot. Then you realise the kids have been fiddling with it. (They do their own photography when I'm not looking, so it's not strange) Then you realise... hey... that's kinda cool.
It's not the first time - certainly not in the life of a photographer. I have a collection of photography mistakes that ended up cool in the Les erreurs agréables de la simplicité set on my Flicker photostream. The Pleasing Errors of Simplicty, in English. Not just bicycle-related. All manner of oops that ended up cool.
But for the purpose of THIS blog, here are the ones involving a bicycle and a camera with a mind of its own.

Cambridge Bags and Baskets
Wicker baskets and lovely bicycle bags abound in Cambridge, where we were not long ago for the CycleLogistics meeting.
The Citizen Cyclists of Cambridge.
Wicker baskets on all corners, including the corner of this unintentional photo...

Copenhagen Fashion Week - on the Street
Chic'sters in motion heading to the next show. Most on bicycles. The easiest way to get from event to event.
Literally, fashion week on the street, as the streets of the Grønnegade neighbourhood in central Copenhagen were closed. Roads covered with red carpet. Cars replaced with models.
This wonderworld had to be created somehow. We found out it was partly via bike, like the Velorbis Long John cargo bike above helping to organise and advertise the show.

Montreal Encore
A bit more Montreal Cycle Chic.
Here's the CEO of Canada's largest bicycle organisation, Vélo Québec, Suzanne, leading the way on an A to B journey through the city on her Opus bicycle. Don't you wish your bicycle advocate looked like this?

Bad but Good
Not every shot is a legendary moment in photography, believe me. Sometimes, however, the oops turns into something special.
