"Ilse Jacobsen! I want a pair of Ilse Jacobsen boots!" I had no idea what my wife was talking about. But I knew I needed to find a pair - fast.
A few years ago cycling with Wellingtons and Hunter boots suddenly made a big splash. Even today Copenhagen girls will wear them during summer when they are too hot and winter when they are too cold.
Strong colours, stylish clips, brass buckles, woven strings. Its definitely not "just" a rain boot.
Fashion police dictates that skinny jeans, thights and stockings is the way to go with Wellingtons or Hunter boots for style.
Funny thing is that I hardly have any pictures of these when it rains!

Com estilo se pedala em Copenhaga. As botas são bonitas porque as raparigas as tornam na moda. Fantásticas fotos é magnifico o assunto da ver as mulheres a pedalarem porque é um sonho que por aqui na minha terra é visto como se fosse impossível ver as mulheres a dar ao pedal.

With style you pedal in Copenhagen. The boots are beautiful because girls make them fashionable. Fantastic photos is magnificent view of the subject women to cycling because it is a dream that here in my country is seen as if it were impossible to see the women to give the pedal.
I love it when sensible items become trendy - like hats, scarves, or rainboots. FYI, the red and white lace-up boots in the first picture are made by Viking, a Norwegian brand. Very retro, very cool.

Seriously never understood this fashion trend. A wellington boot is possibly one of the most uncomfortable items of footwear I can imaging wearing all day! The sacrifices made for fashion eh? :)
