Dothebart - If you're paying 200 bucks for a pair of jeans I could see where you might think that.
If, on the other hand, you are paying 10 to 20 like the smart people and wearing them out too fast for the price, you're doing it wrong.
I've got a pair of jeans I've ridden on a number of 100 k trips and many, many more shorter ones. They've become a bit polished in the arseal area, but do not yet show any signs of actual wear.
people have been wearing their regular clothes on bicycles for 125 years. if someone wants to get sucked into "bicycle fashion", feel free. the rest of us do just fine without.
