Dublin Cycle Chic Teaser

Dublin Cycle Chic1
I was in Dublin last week and it was brilliant. I was amazed at the number of cyclists on the streets. What an amazing city for cycling. Here's a little teaser about what is to come.

The Velo-City Global bicycle conference just kicked off today in Copenhagen. I have a keynote speech tomorrow and have been super busy.

I'll be back shortly.

Fine looking Girl on Her Bicycle Sans le Helmet. I see you might be picking up a bit of the Accent in your short stay Brilliant typical Dublinese Word.

It's a terrible city for cycling though, I'm surprised you spotted any cyclists! This one looks fab though.

I would have to agree with E. Birdie - unfortunately... Dublin really isn't a lovely place to cycle. But I am sure that you can improve conditions there. I am just happy to be back in Copenhagen after not having cycled for half a year because I lived in Dublin.
Hope you can bring some of the Copenhagen cycle chicness to Dublin :-)

Rush Hour is the problem with Dublin in the Morning and Evening with Mad Drivers certain Streets are bad and some Pinch Points, all other times are Tolerable and Pleasant enough Cycling.

Saturday and Sunday is quiet in the Daytime but gets a bit Hectic after 6pm until 11 pm. There is a Renaissance in Cycling but the Infrastructure is bad with Micky Mouse Cycle Lanes where you can get Doored.

I've been living in Dublin for 4 years and cycle a 30k round trip to work everyday. Haven't had any problems myself, love it.

Dublin is just fine to cycle in. It's not Copenhagen, but it's more than doable to cycle here. There's loads of cyclists in the city, it's hard not to spot one! :)

And cycling is booming in Dublin after the start of a bike sharing programme and a bike-to-work tax scheme.

As for cycle chic, Mikael's photographs should prove cycle chic is already alive in Dublin.

It has been too many years since my last trip to Dublin, but I am hoping to get there this summer. Good to know cycling is alive and well there.

I bet you had some nice craic in Dublin, but what could compare to tequila with your SF girlz?

Ah, SF Girlz... I'll quote an Irish singer in saying, "Nothing compares to you..."
