Splendora has a competition where you can win five pairs of Cycle Chic's favourite 'cycling shoes' - all red-soled wonders from
French designer Christian Louboutin.

The photo above and below are from an earlier post about a strange trend in Copenhagen. I've often seen
Louboutin heels on beat up old Raleigh bicycles.

wow! cycling shoes? a high heel shoes? omg! I can't believe that Copenhagen uses that for cycling.
ReplyDeleteI love it when class wins over practical.
ReplyDeleteSo this contest looks like it is only for women and drag queens...
ReplyDeleteBah!
Ah well, I guess this is compensation for the men-only Viagra ad mockup from a few days ago.
ReplyDelete...or, at least, a drag queen race on BIKES would be a much more elegant affair than Stiletta Heale and colleagues RUNNING on the things!
what a great opportunity! I could NEVER afford something so extravagant any other way!
ReplyDeletethe competition could also be for those of us who have girlfriends or wives...
ReplyDeleteJust turning your Crank!
ReplyDeleteMay the best feet win!
Happy Friday!

Or shoe/foot fetishists - Mikael _does_ seem awfully enamored with them....
Those are the most awesome cycling shoes ever - honestly, nobody here has enough class to cycle in Louboutins, otherwise my camera would be overheating from the awesomeness!

Are they SPD compatible? :)
ReplyDelete(That's a type clipless pedal for those who aren't up on the lingo)
It would be nice, though alas my arthritic feet can't wear such shoes, pretty though they are.
ReplyDelete(Though no, I don't wear "cycling shoes", those god-awful jogging shoes or anything but urban footwear on my old Raleigh). Including heels, but not so high.
But I'm a few years older than my Raleigh...
My balance on heels walking is not the best. Somehow I think my balance on a bike wouldn't be compromised by these beauties. See? They're so practical. I love the nude colour.
ReplyDeleteI almost missed the woman sitting at the table on the right side of the second picture. Look at the stink-eye she is giving the blond in the leather jacket, blue print skirt, black hose and black stilettos waiting for the light with her black bike. That does not look like a look of approval. Woo hoo, if looks could kill.
ReplyDeleteCan you hook us gentlemen up too? I really like my Pradas for cycling around town, but I could sure mix things up a bit! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI would like to let you know that I've quoted you in my blog, BikeNüt News,
ReplyDeletehttp://bikenutnews.blogspot.com/2010/10/why-cycling.html
I hope you don't mind.
