This looks like pure misery and worthwhile testament to the value of separated bike lanes.

Compare the expressions on the riders' faces in these photos versus the expressions on the faces of bike riding Copenhageners that Mikhael usually presents. Notice a difference? It's interesting to compare.

Yip, familiar faces.

One day cyclists here in London might get dedicated cycle lanes. One day.........

No all Londoners look like that, it is because London is such a miserable place to live...

It's not so miserable Kim. It can be a nasty place to cycle commute but it has a lot of things going for it and not all london cyclists look unhappy, only the ones who have cycled in better places... :-)

yum ;) I don't think it's fair to say it looks like pure misery. Yes i look forward to the day that my home city becomes more cycle friendly, but that doesn't make me enjoy cycling any less now. I still love it enough to cycle every day, and am convinced that buying my bike was the best money I ever spent! Plus I can call myself a trailblazer lol :P

Here in Brazil, we live this constantly.
Dispute the street with cars, every day ...
It's terrible!

Many people worry about cycling on the streets of London and people look at you funny when you say you ride a bike "Isn't it dangerous?" people always comment. It really isn't. I have a different attitude - I love the streets of London and the hustle and bustle!
