Duffy was massive already, but I'm sure appearing in a cycling advert for Diet Coke won't hurt her image - or bank account. A cool video, it's just a shame that she's riding an ergonomically inferior bicycle. Sit up straight and enjoy the ride, Duffy. You've got too much class for one of those old-fashioned, frightfully unfashionable retro bikes.
actually there is one little good think in the video, when she passed in front of the others girlfriends, they are all starring and seeting in a car...Like bike against car, she can ride, maybe "we can" too... sorry for my bad english. Nice blog
No! That bike is really nice!! Like Álvaro said Fixie, singlespeed and even old, 14-speed road bikes are really sexy.
And... what is a "normal" bike, in your opinion? In Spain "Normal" bikes are the typical 21-gear mountain bikes. A classic Copenhagen bike is strange in our country.
oh! come on lads! no need to get moody! we all know and enjoy Mikael's tong in chick style, I'm sure we can make our points in that very same high spirit.
I love Dutch bicycles, and I encourage everyone to use one, but also find fixies and singles speeds very sexy and fun to ride. I would equate them to jeans and Chuck Taylors in fashion, if you know what I mean ;)
the best thing about this blog tends to be the photography... but the commentary? puh-leeze... its a really strange and frankly dissapointing part of human nature that we find the need to cluster into little cliques where we identify with a like-minded group of people and then cast scorn on all of the eejits that don't conform to our narrow world view... sheesh
oh, and for what it's worth maybe mikael could provide some examples of bikes that don't have any "gear"... i've yet to see one

Duffy looks great regardless of the bike. Besides, they lowered the saddle to get a better shot of her for the video.
Single speeds and fixies are sexy, you can get away form that! :)
I obviously wanted to write "you can't get away from that"
BTW, I much prefer civilised 'sit up straight' cycles, I was just making a point.
Well said :)
I prefer upright bikes and men, but I will have to say that a good looking young woman with a nice rear looks darn good riding like that!
Actually, the whole Duffy setup is reminiscent of all the cycling women shots in my childhood. Erotic undertones apply.

Nice blog
nice girl, nice bike, whats the problem?
It is a reflection of my personal opinion that the lovely Duffy would look better on a normal bike.
Regardin the 'ergonomically inferior' comment, I'm refering to this recent study.

What's wrong with road bikes? They're brilliant on hills, for getting out of the wind, and for speed.
That these concerns do not register for the typical Copenhagen commuter does not make road bikes inferior by any means.
From my Irish perspective most of the bikes you photograph are anything but "normal". Here, those kinds of bikes are expensive.
Horrifying. (I don't mean the bike)
