I was riding with a group from Portland and we were being a little loud and a lot funny when we pulled up to the light and this Copenhagener turned and smiled. The social benefits of cycling in Copenhagen are many and most are brilliant.
ah, was this the delegation of city planners and -- gasp! even a traffic engineer?! -- from my city? They're on a study trip of CPH and A'dam and I fervently hope they'll bring back as many of those cities' bike-friendly features (most important: separated bke tracks) as possible. Please tell us more about your ride with them.
On the subject of city planners visiting copenhagen, the reverse is true here in San Francisco at the present. Jan Gehl is in SF this week attempting to make some bike/ped-friendly decisions a little easier for our city planners. Read about it here.
She looks a little orange, like she put on too much of that rub on tan. Or she looks like she spent too much time in a spray on tan booth. Either way, nice shot.

Great shot.
'Cute' doesn't suffice :-p
So, what kind of bikes were these fine Portlanders riding? Hopefully in CPH style?
