I am quite baffled. Whenever I happen to see a pair of shoes by Louboutin, they are always treading the pedals of a beat up old Raleigh. One of life's great mysteries.
I am impressed not only by your photography skills but also your ability to identify shoes. For some reason that I cannot explain I think Louboutins and old Raleighs go together well.
I love those old Raleigh bikes. I went online to their Irish website looking for something similar a while back and only found the usual hybrid 'city bikes' normally found here. It suggests they reckon there's no market here for the lovely loop frame upright bicycles common on your streets, but I notice that if any of them (any brand, not just Raleigh) are for sale here anywhere(though that's quite rare)they're snapped up very fast, so there MUST be a market for them. I don't get it... :(
bck: thanks! they just seem to work together, i don't know why.
raquel: thanks just strange! must be young girls who can't afford the real shoes.
christina: Only Raleigh of Denmark still offers traditional rod-brake models anymore. For the Danish and Dutch market. Here's a link to a fine model on the Raleigh Denmark site.

this is because once you have bought the louboutins, you can only afford an old bike. Hard choices!

ReplyDeleteWe must be really poor :-(...my wife rides an old Raleigh and wears Nina...no Louboutins here ;-)

Edit: sorry about the delete, I had a gross grammatical error.
in many ways, that's what i love about the bike culture here. the net worth of your clothes, in my cases, is far greater than that of your bike.
ReplyDeletethe bike is great, but it's just transport.
