In a poll of Copenhageners knowledge about the Danish cycle laws it was surprising that most were not aware that bikes are allowed to turn left, providing that there is no traffic and providing that they continue on to the other side of the intersection before turning.

    um... I don't get the left-turn law. I'm in the US, which may or may not be a problem (at least as far as me understanding Danish bike law :-).
    Why would you NOT be able to turn left?
